Campout

Happy Campers,

Below you will find various details about the camp out, including arrival/departure times, maps, potential camping list, etc.  The list and maps will be printed out for you and at the bookstore this Sunday.

Dates: Thursday March 15th – Saturday March 17th, 2018

Location: McKinney Falls State Park

We will not know which camp sites are ours until close to 2pm. I will text you your campsite #. sometime before 2pm. Campsites will be available at 2pm.

However you can arrive earlier.

Upon arrival let them know you’re with the Calvary South Austin group. You must pay the overnight fee for the two nights upon arriving. This is a fee the church can not take, it must be paid upon arrival.  The charge for overnight fee is $6 per person (12 years of age and younger are free).

8 People per site maximum. However they scratched the 2 tents per site rule. So you can have multiple tents, but only 8 people.

Two Vehicles per site (If you have excess there is a $5 charge per day per extra vehicle)

Dogs must be on a leash at all times. (unless in a crate, tent, car, etc.)

Dogs are not allowed at the Fellowship Hall. Not even outside on the premises. In the past this park has been known to be ticket happy, so best not try it.

Dogs are not allowed in the water.

We are not allowed to gather firewood (You can buy some at the ranger booth for $7 per big bundle)

Each Campsite has water (not drinking water), electricity, and a fire pit plus cowboy grill.

Each Campsite Loop (general loop of grouped campsites) has a bathroom and shower room.

Firewood – available for purchase at the ranger station at the entrance. Big bundles for $7 (reminder, do not gather wood)

Ice: $2.50 per bag at the ranger station

THURSDAY MARCH 15TH

1PM – Load trailer up at Church (For those helping with this activity) CANCELLED

2PM Arrive at McKinney State park

8PM Welcome & Worship at the Group Dinning Hall

FRIDAY MARCH 16TH

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on your own.

5-7PM Games and activities at the Group Dinning Hall

7PM Dessert Pot Luck & Ice Cream Social at the Fellowship Hall. (Bring a dessert to share)

8PM Teaching by Josh Caskey

8:15PM Smores & Campfire

SATURDAY MARCH 17TH

8AM – Tacos in the Group Dinning Hall

9AM – Clean Up

10AM – Activities and Games at the Fellowship Hall

2PM – Campsite must be vacated but you can stay on the premises for the rest of the day.
