RE-Bound Prison Ministry

Prison Ministry

The RE-Bound Prison Ministry is preaching Christ and His crucifixion and expounding the bible to those who are hostage to sin and death; offering to them freedom in Christ and raising them up to live lives for Christ, all while building up leaders within Calvary South Austin.

  • Sharing – Our vision is accomplished by sharing the life transforming message of Jesus Christ and Him crucifiedHis Crucifixion to those who are in bondage and by emphasizing Jesus’s finished work on the cross for our salvation. (John 19:30)
  • Showing – Our vision is accomplished by showing the love of God by enabling believers to teach men through the word of God. (2 Tim 3:16-17)
  • Sending – Our vision is accomplished when leaders are raised up and lost men become true disciples of Jesus, who then in turn share the good news of salvation by grace through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Mat 28:19)
  • Supplying – Our vision is accomplished by helping to offer reading material, like the Bible and other Christ affirming texts. (2 Tim 3:16)

Ministry Purpose

The purpose of the  CSA Prison ministry is to preach Christ and His crucifixion while building leaders in CSA that remember those in in bondage (Hebrews 13:3).  To be a living example through worship, prayer, bible study, testimonials and letter writing to incarcerated men and women.

Ministry Mission

The prison ministry’s mission is to sending teams to lead worship and teach bible studies when possible, and to pray for those in bondage to sin. Giving testimonies to as many correctional facilities in the Austin area as Our LORD will equip us for, and developing a correspondence team to reach the lost throughout Texas.

This mission also includes women being a part of the ministry, by reaching out to the women in the Lockhart units. The plan is simply to begin at one unit to show those there our commitment, then as The LORD provided more workers for the harvest branching out to other units. After growing, then raising up an administrator will be raised who would organize and schedule the teams to go to other units. Eventually there would be leaders over each unit, thus fulfilling the vision in each individual unit and one day having a van to reach out farther in Texas.
